Now my ex needs a copy of our marriage certificate to file the papers in TX, we don’t need to do that in CA so I was confused but I looked it up and it’s true. He wants the original but I am not giving it to him because I know for a fact he won’t give it back to me and I might need it latter for paper work(Some places won’t take copies).

My dad hopefully will be mailing it tomorrow yay. Also the divorce waiting period before it is final is 60 days so I would say as of right now that a safe bet for when I will be free is November of this year.
