I am writing this review while I watch the episode on my DVR so that I can pause and add my thoughts as needed.

This review is my personal thoughts of the episode I am not a professional writer or reviewer just a fan doing this for fun. Disclaimer I am biased to the show a bit due to the fact that I am already a fan of the show’s host Alton Brown.

I also want to say that I am sorry that I am behind on the episodes I have them all saved on my DVR so I will be posting them as fast as I am able to:

Chiefs for this episode are:

Chef Marr, Chef D(that’s the way the show has it), Chef DJ(the DJ chef), and Chef Sevan.

Round 1 dish is:

A taco plate.

Side note Chef Sevan has no tortillas.

First round Auction:

First Item up for auction is:

Salt: The Chef that wins this item is the only Chef who can use salt in their dish for this round.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Marr with a winning bid of 8,200.

2nd item up for auction is:

An empty basket: The winner of this item can take one item away from one of their opponents.

Winner of this auction is:

DJ Chef with a bid of 16,000(half of his money for the whole game) . He takes the Chipotle(Sorry if I have spelled that wrong) from Chef Sevan.

3rd item up for auction is:

Bologna: The winning of this item can force one of their opponents to use it instead of which ever meat they were going to use.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef D with a winning bid of 6,800 . He gives the Bologna to Chef Sevan.

Surprise Auction item for this round is:

Removing one of your opponents dishes from the heat for 10 minutes(They are half way through the cooking time right now) .

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Sevan with a winning bid of $2,500. He makes Chef Marr take her food off the heat for 10 minutes.

Note to reader the show has the same judge for all 3 rounds and he can’t know what people have done or why they chose certain items for their dishes.

Chef D gets eliminated.

Round 2 dish is:

Eggs Benedict cooked in 20 minutes.

2nd round Auction:

First Item up for auction this round is:

Quail eggs: The winner of this item forces one of their opponents to cook with them instead of normal eggs.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Sevan with a winning bid of 5,000, He gives the quail eggs to Chef DJ.

2nd item up for auction is:

An empty basket: The winning bidder of this auction takes one of their opponent’s whisks also all the food processors and blending implements have been removed from the kitchen for this round. 

This is going to be interesting dear reader.

Winning bidder for this auction is:

Chef DJ with a winning bid of 2,900. He takes the wisks away from Chef Sevan.

3rd item up for auction is:

A camp stove: The winner of this auction forces one of their opponents to do all of their cooking for this round on a on it. That’s one hell of a twist dear reader.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Marr with a winning bid of 4,100. She gives the camp stove to Chef Sevan.

Surprise Auction item this round is:

Forcing one of your opponents to squeeze a glass of Orange juice by hand in the approximately 10 minutes left of cooking time while said opponent still has to finish cooking the rest of their dish as well.

Winner of the surprise auction is:

Chef Marr with a winning bid of 6,200. She gives the oranges to Chef Sevan.

Funny side note Alton told the judge that he made him the OJ that Chef Saven squeezed: ).

Chef Saven gets eliminated.

It’s down to Chef Marr and Chef DJ.

For this finale round of competition the auctions will take place during the 30 minutes of cooking time.

3rd and final dish is:

Crab Cake.

First item up for auction is:

An empty basket: The winning bidder forces their remaining opponent to work without any items that are used to bind the crab cake together(like bread crumbs) .

Winner of this auction is:

Chef DJ for 1,600.

2nd item up for auction is:

California rolls: The winner of the item can swap out their own Crab meat from a live crab and use the crab meat in the rolls in their dish or force their remaining opponent to do that.

Chef Marr let’s Chef DJ win the bid of 2,500 because she thinks he will give them to her to sabotage her and she wants the meat in the rolls because she doesn’t want to work with her live crab however he keeps them for himself because he doesn’t want to work with his live crab either.

The winner of this episode is:

Chef DJ with $2,000 which was all the money he had left.
