I really enjoyed this book dear reader and I could relate in difference ways to Desiree’s story.

To be completely honest with you dear reader the history parts were hard for me to follow however at it’s heart in my opinion this book is one woman’s life story(Yes, I know it’s fictionalized in parts) and I personally related to her story.

Your first love always has a pull on your heart, Having to do what’s best for your family even if doing so will tear you apart, and Never forgetting who you are and where you come from even as your surroundings change. These are the things I learned in the story dear reader.
I give this book a 10/10 and wish you happy reading dear reader: ).
