I am writing this review while I watch the episode on my DVR so that I can pause and add my thoughts as needed.

This review is my personal thoughts of the episode I am not a professional writer or reviewer just a fan doing this for fun. Disclaimer I am biased to the show a bit due to the fact that I am already a fan of the show’s host Alton Brown.

I also want to say that I am sorry that I am behind on the episodes I have them all saved on my DVR so I will be posting them as fast as I am able to

Chefs for this episode are:

Chef Zadi, Chef Cutting(how the show has it written), Chef Charles, and Chief Scipione.

First round dish is:

Philly Cheese steak in 30 minutes of cook time.

First round Auction:

First Item up for auction is:

Different kinds of cutting implements: 1, The cutting blade off a Deli slicer. 2, A pearing knife. 3, Some kindergarten scissors, and 4, A set of plastic eating utensils(what get to eat with at school) . The winning bidder gets to take 1 of the items for themselves then gets to decide which of their opponents gets each other item to cut with for this challenge.

Winner of this Item is:

Chef Charles with a winning bid of $5,200. She gives chef Scipione the set of plastic eating utensils, Chef Cutting gets the pearing knife, Chef Zadi gets the scissors, and Chef Charles keeps the Wheel from the deli slicer for herself.

2nd item up for auction is:

Cottage cheese. The winning bidder of this item forces one of their opponents to use it in their Philly Cheese steak instead of whatever cheese they had planned to use.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Charles with a winning bid of 3,600. She gives the Cottage cheese to Chef Zadi.

3rd item for auction is:

Frozen Mystery meat (The show’s term not mine). The winner of this item forces one of their opponents to use this meat in their dish instead of the meat they had planned to use.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Scipione with a winning bid of $3,300. He gives the frozen mystery meat to Chef Zadi.

Interesting dear reader Chef Zadi has had all of the challenges given to him  this round. Which according to host Alton Brown it’s the first time in the history of the show that have happened,   Let’s see how he does: ).

Suprise auction item for this round (During the cooking time) is:

A small portable burner for cooking. The winner of this item gets to force 2 of their opponents to use the burner as their only source of heat for the rest of their cooking time.

Winner of this item is:

Chef Zadi for a winning bid of $5,000. He gives the portable burner to Chef Charles and Chef Scipione and they have to share it.

In an effort to be “Cutthroat” every time Chef Charles turns her back Chef Scipione takes her food off the burner.

Note to reader the show has the same judge for all 3 rounds of the competition. The judge doesn’t see and can’t know about any of the “Cutthroat” stuff that happens to the chefs.

Chef Scipione gets eliminated because he forgot to get bread for his Philly Cheese Steak.

2nd round dish is:

Cupcakes.

2nd round Auction:

First Item up in this round is:

A platter of pre-cut vegetables(like you get for a party). The winner of this item forces one of their opponents to use a little bit of every thing on the tray(even the ranch dressing) in their cupcake.

Winner of this item is:

Chef Zadi for a winning bid of $1,500. He gives the vegetable platter to Chef Charles.

2nd item up for auction is:

A microwave. The winner of this item forces one of their opponents to do all of their cooking for this round in the microwave.

Winner of the item is:

Chef Zadi with a winning bid of $5,100. He gives the microwave to Chef Charles.

Dear reader this just got real: ).

Surprise Auction(during cooking time) item for this round is:

Forcing one of your opponents to do nothing for 5 minutes.

Winner of this item is:

Chef Zadi for $1,000 he gives the 5 minutes of nothing to Chef Cutting.

Chef Zadi cooked the judge’s favourite cupcake, and Chef Cutting gets eliminated with her full amount of money from the show which she had to give back.

3rd and final round of competition for this episode. All auctions for this round will be held during the cooking time and the only have 20 minutes of cooking time this round. Pizza is this rounds dish.

1st item up for auction this round is:

A pizza cutter, the winner of this item gets to replace their remaining opponent’s entire knife kit with it.

Winner of this auction is:

Chef Zadi for a winning bid of $5,00. Chef Charles has to use the Pizza Cutter.

2nd item up for auction is:

Apple pie. The winner of the item forces their remaining opponent to use the pie crust from the pre-made Apple pie as their pizza crust.

Winner of this item is:

Chef Charles with a winning bid of $7,500. Chef Zadi has to use the pie crust.

The winner of this episode is Chef Charles she wins $8,700.
