Dear reader I just finished reading “The Ruins of Lace” by Iris Anthony my personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader this book is very intense and I couldn’t put it down from the first page.

I have to say the scenes with the dog being hurt were very hard to read so I feel I should warn you about that If that’s an issue for you.

I don’t want to give too much of the plot away however I have to say when the guy walks with the soldier while he is trying to hide the lace reminded me of me whenever I even think about trying to do something wrong(If you read the book you’ll get it).

To me personally the book came down to “If I would have known X to start with things would’ve been a lot different”.

To me the only down side in reading the book was that I was confused by the ending it in my opinion ended kind of abruptly so I don’t know if one of the characters died or not.

I personally rate this book an 8/10.
