Dear reader I just finished reading “It happened at the fair” by Deeanne Gist my personal review of the book is as follows:
Dear reader I thought the use of the world’s fair was interesting and I enjoyed the pictures as well(I read the book on my Nook HD).
I thought the deaf and hard of hearing storyline was a interesting way to add some depth to “Cullen” .
I felt like the storyline with his fiancee and his ending it with her was a bit rushed.
I would be interested in a book two to see where “Cullen” is with his inventing and how “Della” is with teaching her students.
I do want to add that of course the issues with how people with disabilities were treated back then and in the novel touched me given the fact that I am in a chair.
I personally rate this book a 6/10.
Happy reading dear reader: ).
