Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I stayed up and finished reading “History of the Rain” by Niall Williams. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader first I want to say that for most of the book I was looking for a way to get into it so to speak, I didn’t find it until the last 20 or so pages.

I found parts of the book moving like when the boy washes her hair for her. There was just so much sadness it kind of brought me down.

I do think the book is worth a read, it just maybe wasn’t the right time for me to read it. I personally rate the book a 4/10.
