Dear reader I just finished reading “QueenPin” by Megan Abbott. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader I really fell for the atmosphere of the book which is something I rarely, if ever do so I thought that I would like the book a lot, sadly that wasn’t the case.

I didn’t really understand the motivation for the main character to turn on her mentor, unless it was greed which judging by my interpretation of the ending I think it was.

I also think the ending didn’t really have much of a pay off, it seemed rushed to me.

This seems to me to be another case of better as a movie than a book. I personally rate this book a 2/10(mostly for the way the atmosphere pulled me in).
