Note to reader: The following post is just something I have been thinking about I am NOT trying to judge anyone or make anyone feel sorry for me.
Dear reader I spend most of my time in my bed or in my chair in my room because I have CP(Cerebral Palsy) which makes getting out of the house difficult(Plus my dad is older and can’t lift me as easily anymore).
I want to have a job and give back to society however not being able to take myself to the bathroom kind of gets in the way(Hey dear reader everyone has to pee at some point and I would prefer not to have to do it on myself so I have someone lift me onto and off of the toilet or use a bed pan like in the hospital).
I try to help give back whenever I can, when I heard about Extra Life from a PlayStation email I signed up thinking I would try my very best to raise $50 bucks(I set the goal at $200 to have a big number to aim for) I figured I would ask you dear reader and hope I would get a few bucks for the kids at the Los Angeles Children’s hospital.
Well within a day or two of me posting the link I got $50 from a person who found me through a comment I posted on the The House of Vines (They have been awesomely helpful to me with the fundraiser over there).
Needless to say I was shocked and humbled(I still am), fast forward to right now we are now at $210 raised so far(around $110 of which has come from you dear reader) for the Los Angeles Children’s hospital.
I have done this(with help of course) from my bed, what can you do dear reader with your legs( I am assuming you can walk) how can you make the world better? How can you help yourself to make your life better?
I am NOT saying this as “See I am better or nicer than you” because to be honest I am probably not, I am saying it as have some faith in yourself(I have faith in you dear reader) things aren’t as impossible as they may seem.
