Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I stayed up and finished reading “Red Blooded” book #4 in the “Jessica McClain” series by Amanda Carlson. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader I want to state again that these are MY personal thoughts and opinions I am NOT trying to be harsh.

Dear reader for the first part of the book until chapter 14 I felt that “Jessica” sounded whiney to me.

From chapter 14 on some parts of the book annoyed me because it felt too much like and I am paraphrasing here:

“O God, I am dying” …. *wait* *wait* I can’t die because I am in the middle of telling you the story, please ignore said problem that’s supposed to be killing me right now.

Then “Jessica” messes up a “fated event” by about a 100 years or so.

Really big oops.

Really weird time differential.

*Sex scene* conveniently on romantic island resort.

*Wait for it, Wait for it*

The one person I am pretty sure who doesn’t have ANY magic in the series and has been in my personal opinion a minor character in the series up to this point.

Seems to use magic/have magic done for them just to tell “Jessica” that her life is in danger by phone..

WTF???

I really don’t know if I am going to continue this series when the next book is out.

I personally rate this book a 2/10(Because I like some of the other characters so much).
