Dear reader I can’t sleep so I finished reading “Soul ink” a “Grimm Agency” novella by J.C. Nelson. My personal review of the novella is as follows:

Dear reader for me personally most of the novella was about “Marissa’s” snappy one liners and come backs, I kinda forgot about the actual plot until about half way through.

Then the plot got interesting and I thought the ending was pretty cute.

I have seen the synopsis for the next book in the series so I can tell from it that the novella is the actual backstory for why the world of the book is the way it is in book 2.

(As opposed to most novellas I have seen for series lately in which it’s mostly pointlessly past backstory for the character, which in my personal opinion is only usefully if you’re a need to know every possible thing about a character type person which for the most part I am not)

So I do recommend reading it if you’re planning on reading book #2 of the series when it’s out in February.

Over all I personally rate the novella a 4/10. Happy reading dear reader: ).
