Dear reader I just finished reading “Croak” book #1 in the “Croak” series by Gina Damico. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader I really liked this book a lot, I thought I had the twist(s) figured out towards the ending of the book but nope dear reader I was totally and completely wrong.

I haven’t seen plot twists pulled off like this in awhile and not just 1 but 2.

I am not counting the one with “Driggs” because even though I think it was cute and somewhat creepy I don’t think it’s as big of a deal story wise as the other two twists.

The only thing I personally didn’t like is that I feel like “uncle Mort” comes across as a bit “flat”.

I am excited to read book #2 in the series which I will download onto my Nook after I post this.

I do want to add a bit of a spoiler so please stop reading now dear reader If you don’t want to know.

I am glad that the “villain” is human, as in they have understandable reasons why they are the way they are and that “Lex” actually thought about the “villian’s” offer instead of dismissing it outright which I felt make everything seem more realistic. 

I also don’t often find myself happy when a “villian” gets something that they were after however in this case I was.

Over all I rate this book an 8/10. Happy reading dear reader:).
