Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Pocket Apocalypse” book #4 in the “InCryptid” series by Seanan McGuire. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader I have to say that this is the first book by Seanan McGuire that I haven’t really liked, the only things I can really say to explain why without giving too much away are:

1. Way too much(In my personal opinion pointless)arguing.

2. Way too much creature info with too little storyline/plot based info to balance it out. I think this might have been a place where footnotes like in “Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” might have been a better idea just to make it more easily readable, or maybe a mention in the back of the book to a  “field report” with the information on the author’s website.

I thought I would just state my favorite characters in the book:

Alex, Shelby, The mice(Which I seriously kept wondering as I was reading why I can’t have cool talking mice, I mean they could really keep me company dear reader just saying), and the Yowie,

Overall I am hoping that the next book in the series is better. I am personally rating this book a 4/10.
