Note to reader: The following post is probably going to be kinda rambling because I don’t really know how to phrase what I am thinking about it in the right words so I apologize in advance.

Dear reader I just found out from FB that a guy friend of mine(we met around the time my ex hubby and I split back in 2010) just got engaged.

I am feeling really happy that I didn’t push things with him, when we first met he told me he didn’t want a gf because his last gf had really hurt him however he told me that he wanted to buy me things and cuddle with me(He had a no sex rule), basically to me he wanted to act like a bf without the things that go with it(He really didn’t want me to rely on him or get emotionally attached to him).

I told him no because I knew that I would end up getting attached and my heart would end up getting hurt.

He was ok with it and he has talked to me very sporadically since that, he even at one point wanted me to type things up for him and than e-mail them back to him(stuff for his business) and he would pay me, he said that he really needed me to be available on certain days to basically do whatever he needed on those days.

I said yes and he asked me multiple times over the next few days if I would be free for sure I said yes again and even promised and he said ok.

A few days later when the day he said he needed me for showed up I didn’t hear from him so I texted him about it and he just said never mind.

After that we talked a few more times and he just got really quite. I am just really happy that he is happy now dear reader and that I didn’t push to try and be with him.
