What is going with this gray/sliver hair trend?

Dear reader am I the only person who is confused about the gray/sliver hair trend?.

I personally think that half of the people doing this trend will freak out so hard when they get their first natural gray hair.

My Nana(grandma) always told me to avoid dying my hair(I have naturally Black hair, think “Snow white” and you’ll get my hair color) until I needed it to cover up the gray(just to be completely honest with you dear reader I am currently 29 and I have found a few gray hairs on my brush over the last few years but nothing worth breaking out the hair dye over yet) but that I should be proud of my gray hair whenever I get it because it means that I have survived a while.

I am NOT saying that gray/sliver hair doesn’t look good on some people or that people shouldn’t dye their hair that color if they want to, what I am trying to say is that I personally feel that people should be more thankful for the fact that they still have natural color in their hair.

Ok rant over now dear reader I just had to get that of of my chest.

  1. Tehehehe. I love the gray/silver hair. And, I also like how the younger generation is changing their hair. Beautiful whether natural, or “altered”. Let it show with a beautiful smile, and spirit. I am glad you posted this because the first time I saw the trend on the youngsters, I paused with a “well, what is this newness?” 🙂 Reading this post made me smile. Thanks

    1. I am glad that you liked the post and I thank you for your comment. At the core of my personal thoughts on this is just be more thankful for what you have while you have it because there might be a time where you don’t have it.

  2. I think you are saying the trend on people dying their hair grey/silver…If that’s what you mean…I don’t get that either. I have a few strands of grey and I’m not thrilled about it. I’m not ready to have them! But to dye my hair on purpose grey/silver…I just don’t understand that.

Tell me what you think.
