Dear reader I just finished reading ” Liars and Thieves” by Eve Karlin. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader I want to start by saying that if you haven’t already read the book yet and don’t want spoilers stop reading this review right now.

What first comes to mind for me personally dear reader about this book is that for me it showed that even though time may change, human nature and the story narratives don’t  (politicians still being shady, people seeking out drama)

The scene where the people waited outside to physically see “Elema’s” body proves the seeking out drama part to me.

I had a feeling from the start that something shady was going on between “Elias” and “Elma”.

I still personally don’t feel that what really happened to “Elema” in regards to her death(within the book’s storyline) was really cleared up.

I didn’t really find any of the characters real or relatable, no one of them is probably going to “stay with me”(after I have read certain books I have found myself wondering what happened to them after the end of the book or how they are doing, yes, dear reader I know that they are mostly all fictional characters and not real) now that I am done with the book.

Overall I personally rate this book a 6/10 just because I found the setting and the trial so interesting.  Happy reading dear reader :).
