Dear reader I just finished reading “Go set a Watchmen” by Harper Lee. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Dear reader I wasn’t going to read this book at all because of how it came about however I kept hearing/reading about it and I had to personally read it to make a judgment about it for myself.
I read “To Kill a Mockingbird” in high school and I have memories of working on class projects about the “To Kill a Mockingbird” with my best friend Janet who I am still close with to this day, which is another reason why I wanted to read “Go set a Watchmen”.

I personally (and yes I know that I will probably be judged for some by this) related to “Scout” a lot and how she sees “Atticus” and his views because my dad grew up around the same time that this book takes place so it helped me to see some of why he believes as he does. (My dad is 70 years old and when my mom and he had me he was in his 40s).

I disagree with a lot of things my dad believes however at the end of the day my dad is and always will be my dad.

I personally believe that all we can really do is try to be at least a bit better or more open minded than them..

Overall I personally rate this book a 9/10. Happy reading dear reader :).
