Dear I can’t sleep so I finished reading “Vacant” book #4 in the “MindSpace investigations” series by Alex Hughes. My personal review of the book is as follows. PS. It will include spoilers so please continue reading at your own risk:
Dear reader I personally found the first half of the book boring, I personally found the situation with “Isabella” getting set up in the beginning of the book to be unrealistic especially given the details of how it was done.
Towards the end of the book once the kid gets kidnapped and we finally find out that his mom(the judge) is dirty it gets interesting.
I thought that the “Faust” like situation between “Adam” and “Fiske” was very well done, I am excited to see how the situation plays out over the arc of the series.
I disagree with “Isabella” being made at “Adam” for not being there for her during her trial even though she knows that it was because he was busy saving a kid’s life, to me it doesn’t seem like how she would act.
Overall I personally rate this book a 6/10. Happy reading dear reader :).
Omg that feeling when you really want to read a review because it’s obviously amazing and well thought out and the author has put so much effort into it and then you see the word spoiler and you’re like NOOOOOOOOOO and you run away screaming *sobs* Maybe I should read Vacant first, then read your review. Hopefully I will get a chance soon… AFTER I PLOW THROUGH THE 600 OR SO BOOKS ON MY TBR PILE *sobs*
Sorry for that, I had to do it because the review does contain a few big spoilers and I didn’t want to ruin the book for anyone who hasn’t read it yet.
Thanks so much for the comment 😊.
Yeah I hate when a main driving point of the novel isn’t shown on the blurb and you go like damn now I have to spoiler tag it ugh why u do dis to me, blurb??
I had to talk about it since it didn’t really make that much sense to me given how I have seen the character act in past books.
