Dear reader I can’t sleep so I finished reading “Veiled” book #6 in the “Alex Verus” series by Benedict Jacka. My personal review of the book is as follows:
First things first dear I am going to be really up front with you and say that this series is one of my favorite series out right now, however I personally didn’t enjoy it as much as the other books in the series.
For the first 100 pages or so I kept reading solely because of the fact that I love “Alex” and the crew so much if not for that I might not have kept reading it.
For me personally dear reader this book had way too much “insider baseball” type information which I personally found boring and not really that relevant(it’s like nitty-gritty background information).
I am glad that I kept reading because it did get interesting towards the middle of the book.
I personally believe that this book was a way to set up an opening for an important plot point in the future of the series.
I still love the characters and the world of book so I will definitely be reading the next book in the series whenever it’s released.
Overall dear reader I personally rate this book a 5/10. Happy reading dear reader :).
PS. Just in case you’re curious I have multiple going at one time, meaning whenever I get bored with one I go to the other and read it until I get bored then I will go back to the other(unless I really don’t like it then I will move on to another book; I personally believe that life is way too short to read bad books when you could be reading a different one).
