Dear reader I can’t sleep so I finished reading “Sideswiped” The first novella for the “Peri Reed Chronicles” by Kim Harrison. My personal review of the book is as follows:

First things first dear reader I think Kim Harrison is super cool I have met her in person in at a signing in San Diego ’08(I was still with my ex husband at the time) she was really kind.

Her first series “The Hollows” was one of the main series that I was reading from before I met my ex, through out our marriage, and helped comfort me after he left (Reading comforts me a lot whenever I am stressed or in a bad mood), so I am really excited for this new series.

To be completely honest with you dear reader I am still really confused about the technology and mythology of the world of the series, however at the very end of the book the characters pulled me into the story so I am honestly interested in finding out what happens next.

I also found this quote the book to be very moving. In my Nook version of the book it’s on page 54:

“For an instant the universe seemed to pause, Assessing what Summer had done. And then quietly, and quite decisively the universe balanced it’s books.”

Dear reader I find that quote to say be moving because in my personal life I have seen life takes some turns that feel like what the qoute is talking about.
Overall I personally rate this novella a 6/10. Happy reading dear reader :).
