“Unstoppable: Harnessing science to change the world”

Dear reader I just finished reading “Unstoppable: Harnessing science to change the world” by Bill Nye. My personal review of the book is as follows:

First things first I want to start this review by saying that I am a big fan of Bill Nye ever since I was a kid watching “Bill Nye the science guy” show on tv.

I personally found this book hard to get into. I definitely enjoyed reading “Undeniable: Evolution and the science of creation” more.

I know that we as a society have to do something about climate change. I just don’t personally feel like this book gave me personally any new ideas about what I can actually do to help make a difference(even if it’s a small one).

I already knew about using less, recycling, and voting for people and policies that will help to change things.

I also have to add(even though I know that you might disagree with me dear reader) that Mr. Nye’s view on taxes on gasoline/carbon taxes not affecting the poor as much as the rich (yes, dear reader I could be paraphrasing a little bit here) isn’t in my personal opinion very realistic, poor people will still have to drive to work no matter how much money it costs(yes, I know that there is a limit to how much they can pay) I live in Southern California so I have seen how high gas prices effect people.

Overall I personally rate this book a 4/10. Happy reading dear reader :).
