Dear reader reader I just finished reading “Brothers at Arms” by Jemima Brigges. I want to be completely honest and up front with you before I start my personal review of the book and let you know that I was blessed to be able to download a free copy of the book from NetGally in exchange for my honest review, this opportunity(along with any other book review opportunities I get from NetGally is possible in big part because of you dear reader with all of your likes, comments, follows and views thanks dear reader.
My personal review of the book is as follows:
For me personally the book didn’t get interesting until around the 200 page mark. I was more interested in the side characters and storylines than the main characters. I also felt like a lot of the storylines and characters I was wondering about would disappear from the story after a few pages and I don’t personally think that the reasons behind most of the characters actions were ever explained.
I didn’t like how most of the women were portrayed in the book(Yes, I know that some of it goes with the time period of the story however I still feel some things were over the top and for shock value and not for the sake of the story) I did like the ending a little bit.
I personally rate this book a 3/10. Happy reading dear :).
