Dear reader I am a politics junkie and I feel kinda jealous right now that I don’t live in Iowa, I would love to be able to caucus right now.
Voting where I live in California doesn’t really mean much in my personal opinion towards the primary/ presidential process, I still vote anyway because I personally believe that the right to vote is very important.
I lived in Iowa for 22 years, then CA for the next 20 (now in WA). There are pros and cons to each state’s politics and processes. To me the importance of the ballot in CA is all those propositions and changes to law. You’re right about voting for president there, however. The state is reliably in the Dem. column nearly every year. We don’t even have to know who the nominee will be. The Democrat will be far more likely to win.
I know that the ballot initiatives are very very important because they have given me and other people like me care and rights as disabled people. I love California and I want to live my entire life here. I am just a politics junkie and wish that I could be more involved in the political process sometimes(curse you wheelchair).
Thanks for stopping by my corner of the net and for the comment :).
