I want start by saying that I didn’t read the first book that is the sequel to this story so I don’t know the full back story to all of the characters, however I wasn’t lost and I don’t personally feel like I missed much by reading this book by itself.

I found “Sarah” to be very well written and realistic, I admire the resiliency of pretty much all of the characters in this story. I personally  wish that it could have gone  a bit more into the process of making wine.  I also thought the heart surgery scenes were very compelling especially given the time period in which the story takes place. Overall I personally rate this book a 5/10.
