That disappointing moment when you just can’t finish a book by one of your favorite authors(3/6/16)

Dear reader I just had my first “Did Not Finish” book of this year(Some readers call these books DNF’s for short) I am so very disappointed because I really like the author as well as the book that this book is the sequel to.

I am NOT going to say what book it is here because I don’t want to potentially ruin the first book for you dear reader in case you haven’t read it yet, I will say that it is by Christopher Moore.

I really really really enjoy all of the books that I have read of his prior to this one however I just couldn’t get into it at all and I tried to read it over the course of about 3-4 months.

I read more than one book at a time I will read a bit of one then when I get bored of it go to a different book and switch between anywhere from 3-7 different books (my limit is 7) I don’t get lost in the storylines or mix them up.

However even doing this I still can’t get into the book and I made the decision to stop reading it before it taints my love for the first book which it was already starting to do a little bit.

I also say that to me personally dear reader life is way too short to read books you don’t like especially since there are so many different books that you could use that time to read instead.  For me personally dear reader I know that sadly I will die before I can read all of the books on my “To be read” pile which honestly makes me so sad.

I even horde books whenever they are on sale just in case it ever happens that I need something to read and I don’t have money to buy a new book(I can’t seem to like to re-read books no matter how much I love them. Patrick Rothfuss’s books might be the exception to this rule, though I have yet to test it out).

Sorry dear reader for straying off the main topic of this post a little bit, to get back onto the main reason for this post I am honestly so sad that I just couldn’t like the book. I might try to read it again next year or something.

Thanks again dear reader for *listening* to me vent and staying with me on this journey ♡.

Tell me what you think.
