Note to reader: I am writing this to get my own personal feelings out.

Dear “Uncle” Vin you have been my honorary Uncle ever since I can remember, to the point that for a long time as a kid I thought you were really my uncle(and Tommy really was my God-father).

After 9/11 hearing you call a game and say “It’s time for Dodgers baseball” made me feel like the world was safe at least for a little while.

I can’t explain how much you mean to my family. I hope that you have an amazing retirement and come back a time or two even if it’s just to say “It’s time for Dodgers baseball” before a home game.
