Dear reader I just finished reading “Heartless” by Marissa Meyer. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I love pretty much everything Alice in Wonderland themed, my personal review of the book is as follows:

I loved all of word play between the characters, I love “Jest” and have a mini book crush on him. “Hatta”‘s complexity was awesome.

I just wish that the wasn’t king one dimensional, he was probably my least favorite part of book. I have heard people say that they didn’t understand why the Queen of Hearts becomes so mean in the book, for me personally I totally understood why(To say why would be giving away the ending of the book).

Also I really couldn’t believe how the Queen of Heart’s parents had that ” are you sure that you’re ok? we just want you  to be happy” moment with her near the ending of the book after everything they pushed her to, (especially her mom) WTF. I do want to warn you that the ending of the book is sad (besides the Queen of Hearts being so mean).
