Dear reader I just finished reading “Wonder Woman: Warbringer” by Leigh Bardugo. Book number one in the DC Icons” series. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I enjoyed watching the “Wonder Woman” movie and I wanted to see how this one compared.  My personal review of the book is as follows:

I enjoyed the first half of the book a lot however when the story goes to where they went to the gala it felt to me personally like it was added as a backdrop for some romance and some info dumps about the characters then it felt like the storyline went into movie mode(for lack of a better way of phrasing it) and it went to the big ticket action sequences.

I felt like the big plot twist was a bit too convenient and tied up plot points a bit too easily. I also feel like the ending of the big fight was a bit of a cop out, I understand that this book is young adult so that’s probably why. I did  however  think that the ending was really sweet so I’m personally rating this book a 6 out of 10.
