Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading Soldier of Fortune” book number one in “The Fortune Chronicles” series by Kathleen McClure.  I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was in the free section. My personal review of the book is as follows:

The writing style, the main characters, and the world building was interesting, however the plotline lost me somewhere around the middle of the book and I personally never found it again.

Some of the scenes actually made me laugh out loud whilst I was reading it especially when it had to do with pop culture references from our time.

I’m interested in seeing where the characters go from here in the next book in the series. Overall I personally rate this book a 5 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader ☺.
