Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading Bellamy and the Brute book number one in Bellamy and the Brute series by Alicia Michaels. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was in the free section. My personal review of the book is as follows:

In my personal opinion this story was one of best contemporary retellings of “Beauty and the Beast” that I’ve read. The main characters were both very interesting, realistic and compelling.

A couple of plot points regarding the ghost element personally confused me as well as some of the things that happened towards the end of book.

I also personally disliked how the element of disability was talked about specifically in regards to one of the “bad guys” that show up towards the end of the book. I also personally feel that this storyline specifically works best as a stand alone.
