Dear reader I just finished reading “Love and War” book number two in the “Alex and Eliza” series by Melissa De La Cruz. I picked up a hardcover copy of the book from Barnes and Noble when my dad took me as part of my early birthday gift. My personal review of the book is as follows:

In my personal opinion this storyline was a more complete, complex, and realistic narrative(in my personal opinion) than the first book in the series. I also personally feel like the war related parts especially the being a spouse of a person who is about to go off to war(especially because of my time as a Marine Corps wife).

One of personal favorite parts of the book was the scenes when “Eliza’s” mom was in labor/giving birth to her youngest sister. Overall I personally rate this book a 6 and a half out of 10.
