Dear reader I just finished reading “GoddGoddess With A Blade” book number one in the “Goddess With A Blade” series by Lauren Dane. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was on sale for $1.99. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I really liked how strong and realistic the main character is even with her super natural abilities she still has her own character flaws. I also really enjoyed how we were put into a world where events have already happened even though it’s the first book in the series as opposed to a world that seems to start with the characters.

The romance within the framework of storyline as a whole felt very “conveniently placed” (for lack of a better way of phrasing it) especially when they first met(a lot of spontaneous kissing) however as the storyline continues both the romance and the love interest grew on me and I feel like by the end of the book he shows a lot more depth to himself as well as a higher level of respect for the main character without losing sight of the bantering between them or expecting her to change because of the changes within their relationship.

Overall I personally rate this book a 7 and half out of 10. I will be continuing on with the series after I’ve finished posting this review because the second book in the series was on sale for 99 cents so I picked it up as well.
