I get where this is coming from, however I want to add my own personal experience with Dionysus to this. Note to reader I am just speaking for myself and my own personal experience, no more no less.

Dionysus has taken away my pain at two very hard points in my life and given me joy and a “blanket of peace”.

He has pushed me but never over where we’ve agreed to go, I have personally never felt(as of right now) a malicious intent, never to cause me pain for just the sake of pain.

I know I am not meant to go deeper with Him and I am ok with this, however it doesn’t take away the fact that Dionysus has and will most likely already have a very special place in my heart.
