What would you want people to remember about you? (2/23/16)

Note to reader: The following post is ONLY about an idea that has been rolling around in my mind for a few hours now and I think that it’s part of the reason why I can’t fall back asleep.

I am NOT saying that I am going to die/dying any time soon so don’t worry.

Dear reader when my Nana(my grandmother on my dad’s side) was still alive she would give me advice on things she thought that I might need later on when she wasn’t around.

I have also been having some drama lately about inheritance/lack thereof involving my Nana passing away.

A family member posted on my FB feed some hurtful comments about my Nana and it made me so mad because of the fact that she wasn’t there to defend herself or her choices.

I used to ask my Nana questions about why certain things in my family were the way they were other people just assume that they know the answers even though they aren’t true (and yes dear reader I have tried to “correct the record” with the person so to speak with no luck).

All of these issues have made me wonder what my Nana would want me to remember about her when I am sad to cheer myself up, hence the title of this post.

I am thinking of asking my dad what he wants me to remember about him or think about in regards to him when I am sad when he is gone because you can’t ask someone after they die.

I think that what I want people and you dear reader to remember about me if you are sad is that I always try to look for some bit of good news even if it looks as if there isn’t any and the fact that I never give up.

What do you want your friends and family to remember about you dear reader?  Leave me a comment on this post and let me know.

  1. Ummm… that I am kind to others/have a big heart, although I’m not sure how many people know that about me or know that it is because I choose to be so. I feel like I’ve been stepped on more than my share of times, but I have tried very hard not to step on others.

    1. In my personal opinion the love that you give to others are the things that people remember the most. Thanks for the comment 🙂 and for staying with me on this journey I love seeing your comments on my posts :).
