Book Review: Child of a Hidden Sea (Hidden Sea Tales #1)

Dear reader I just finished reading “Child of a Hidden Sea” book #1 in the “Hidden Sea Tales” series by A.M. Dellamonica.  I received a hardcover copy of the book as part of my August fiction(2016) bookcase from my subscription to http://Www.BookCase.Club (I paid for the subscription myself) my personal review of the book is as follows:

For me personally I found myself getting lost in the setting/description of the world of the series, because of that my connection to/understanding of the characters and the main storyline was lost(I understood bits and pieces here and there that were enough to keep me interested in trying to figure out the story) until around page 200/the point where “Sophie” meets her biological father after that point I was much more clear about what was going on and I wanted to see how she and he got along.

After that all of the family fighting really got annoying to me personally, I was more interested in knowing how important questions from the main storyline would be answered. I admire “Sophie’s” dedication to saving her brother and how she kept herself together throughout all of drama going on around her. Around page 285 I started to get pulled into the story again and I really enjoyed “Sophie’s” interactions with her biological father. I didn’t really understand all of the legal/political stuff at the end of book however I’m glad that “Sophie’s” biological father and the brother that she grew up with are supportive of her as she is. I’m not really interested in reading the next book in the series right now however I might come back to the series later. Overall I personally rate this book a 6/10 because I found the world building so interesting. Happy reading dear ?.  Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get approved by Netgally and other places for future books ♡.
