Book Review: Eliza and Her Monsters: Francesca Zappia

Dear reader I just finished reading “Eliza and Her Monsters” by Francesca Zappia. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I have been hearing a lot about it and because it seemed interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I really related to “Eliza” mostly because I used to write “Charmed” fan-fiction when I was in my early twenties(My ex husband deleted it all so I got sad and stopped writing it”. I understood some of her choices in the beginning however towards the middle as her relationship got deeper I personally didn’t see why she had to hide who she was from her boyfriend especially after he was so open and honest with her about his past.

I also relate to how “Eliza” feels about her Fandom I feel some of the same feelings about my blog and the people who read it/follow me on Twitter. At it’s core(In my personal opinion) I feel that this book is a love letter to writers as well as people who find comfort and community through the Internet and yes of course it’s a love letter to Fandom.

If you haven’t already finished reading it get some tissues ready before it ends (Yes I cried a little bit) overall I personally rate this book a 7 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader ?. Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get considered by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews ❤.
