Book Review: Stalking Jack The Ripper: Karri Maniscalco.

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Stalking Jack The Ripper” book number one in the “Stalking Jack The Ripper” series by Karri Mariscalco. I picked up a soft-cover copy of the book when my dad took me to Barnes and Noble some time in October. My personal review of the book is as follows:

Personally I was lost quite a few different times while I was reading this because of the different plot twists, the only way that I can think to explain why without giving away plot points is to say that it felt like reading the old “Are you my mother” Children’s book but it was are you the serial killer. The other thing that personally stopped me from fully understanding the story/being satisfied with it as a whole was that I kept thinking that the main character was going to fall in love with Jack The Ripper(because of the description on the back of the book) however that doesn’t happen(sorry in advance if someone takes that as a spoiler).

I also feel like I would have enjoyed it more if the writing didn’t feel  (in my personal opinion) like it was rushing to get some many different plot twists in. Overall I personally rate this book a 6 out 10. Mostly because of how much I enjoyed the strong, realistic, and smart main character. Happy reading dear reader 😆.  Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get considered by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💙.
