Book Review: The Dragonslayer’s Sword: Resa Nelson

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “The Dragonslayer’s Sword” book number one in the “Dragonslayer” series by Resa Nelson. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was in the free section. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I found the main character to be one of the most unique that I’ve read in awhile. I didn’t personally understand how the magic works within the framework of the book which personally pulled me from the story. I do feel like if you are interested non-binary characters then you might want to check out the book(I don’t personally know if it’s good representation or not I just personally feel like non-binary for lack of a better way of phrasing it themes were used I could be wrong/misinterpreted).
I personally didn’t relate to the characters or the storyline, it didn’t have the spark required to make me personally want to continue with the series plus I personally got really annoyed by how much power the story/world gives to other people’s perceptions of you, it even affects/plays into the how magic works in the world that the story is set in. I kept reading because of the uniqueness of the main character.

Overall I personally rate this book a 4 and half out of 10 because of how unique I personally found the main character to be. Happy reading dear 😊. Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
