Book Review: Gunslinger Girl: Lyndsay Ely

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Gunslinger Girl” by Lyndsay Ely.  I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I love old western themed books and the synopsis seemed really interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

In my personal opinion this book felt to me personally like a mix between the video game “Fallout: New Vegas” and an old west circus show(without any animals).

I really enjoyed the strong female main character and the atmospheric world building however I really wish that some of the backstory of how the world worked before the dystopian events happened.

The love aspects of the story bugged me at first(I wanted to tell the characters to stop playing games with each other) however towards the last half of the book I was behind them.

I really do hope that the series gets to continue because I feel like it has a lot depth to it and I would love to see how the storyline grows with the characters. Overall I personally rate this book an 8 and a half out 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊.  Please like and share this review if you like it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books as well as helping others to find my reviews 💖.
