Book Review: The Inventor’s Secret: Andrea Cremer.

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “The Inventor’s Secret” book #1 in the “Inventor’s Secret” series by Andrea Cremer. I picked up a soft-cover copy of the book from (I paid for it myself) because it seemed interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I really liked the characters, the setting/time period, imagery, and for the most part the main storyline. Where the book started to lose me personally was when the romance and possible love triangle started to become a more prominent focus.

After all of that was kind of worked out the main plot line felt a little bit flat (in my personal opinion) almost like (for lack of a better way of phrasing it) oops we have to go back to this now and by that point in the storyline the book was pretty much over so there wasn’t enough time for me personally to get back into it especially given the fact that I didn’t really understand some of the(for lack of a better way of phrasing it) “lore” that was driving/involved with this particular part of the storyline.

I personally feel like if you are a fan love triangle ish stuff with steam punk as a backdrop then you might like this book. It also kinda reminded me of a steam punk version of the “Red Queen” series Victoria Aveyard if you like that series(especially if you like the romance elements it) and steam punk themed books then I definitely recommend checking out the synopsis of this book and seeing if you like it 😊.

I personally don’t really have an interest in continuing with the series (I think that me in my middle school years would have been way more interested). I personally rate this book a 5 and half out 10 mostly because of how much I liked the beginning of the book. Happy reading dear reader 💖. Please like and share this review if enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
