Book Review: Heart of Iron: Ashley Poston

DeDear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Heart of Iron” book number one in the “Heart of Iron” series by Ashley Poston.  I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because I had heard a lot about it and because it seemed interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

When I read the synopsis of the storyline I immediately thought of “Jonny-5” (My personal all time favorite robot character) and thought this story might give me some of the same feelings however(and I am trying to explain things without giving away plot points) so many times chapters would end and a plot twist would happen and I would feel like we as readers were starting a new story which left me personally feeling annoyed.

The politics of the world beyond the Anastasia elements could have been explained and dealt with a whole lot better(In my personal opinion). I feel like the “2nd villan”‘s storyline would have been better used if introduced within the next book in the series(trying to avoid spoilers so it might not make sense).

I also personally felt some cool “Guardians of the Galaxy” vibes however the plot kept going in different directions and taking away from the feeling.

I feel like this story would make some amazing TV show episodes on the CW TV Network. It really reminded me of the show “Star-Crossed”, If you like the show you might want to check out this book. I loved the romantic plotlines, I almost wish that they could have had their own books.

The very last part of the storyline gave me very strong “Red Queen” series vibes. Overall I personally rate this book a 4 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader ☺. Please like and share this review if you enjoy it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💖.
