Book Review: Mr Rochester: Sarah Shoemaker

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Mr. Rochester” by Sarah Shoemaker. I picked up the book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I want to start this review off by saying that I haven’t read “Jane Eyre”(I’ve heard of it) I was interested in the character and storyline on it’s own.

I was pulled into and caring for the main character from the beginning, where I personally started to lose interest in the main character was right before Jane was introduced.

I almost wish that it could have been physically separated into two different books (I read both parts together) so that I might have been better able to deal with the situation with his first wife (and my personal feelings about it) before being introduced to Jane.

I understand why he felt the need to make certain choices in regards to her however it still got in my way of getting to know/care about his relationship with Jane, it just felt to me personally like he was saying “I can handle it anymore” in regards to his wife and doing whatever everyone expected him to do he decided to finally do something for himself so he did everything he had to be with Jane it just didn’t feel romantic to me.

Overall I personally rate this book a 4/and half out 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
