Book Review: Origin: Dan Brown

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Origin” book #5 in the “Robert Langdon” series by Dan Brown. I picked up this book in hardcover edition when I went to my local Barnes and Noble store with my dad as part of my birthday present. My personal review of the book is as follows:

For me personally this was my favorite book of the series so far I personally liked that I felt like I was learning about the mystery along side professor Langdon I didn’t feel like he was already a step ahead of me so to speak.

I don’t want to accidentally give away spoilers so I won’t go into specifics about the mystery except to say that I found it be very well done. I personally did feel like the church elements could’ve been left out. I also don’t personally understand why the professor always seems to need/have a female character along with him that he seems to always have some level of feelings for by the end, I liked the female character I just don’t feel like she added much to the storyline except to be a connection to the church/reason for the “bad guys” so to speak to chase after them.

I did personally find “Winston” to be compelling, believable, and thought provoking; side note for those who have already read the book I personally don’t think that  would’ve smashed the cell phone, I think that I probably personally would have wanted to see what else was on it.

I personally think that if you like thinking about how humans and technology will eventually be like in the future that this book will give you something to think about. Overall I personally rate this book a 7 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
