Book Review: Starling: Lesley Livingston

Dear reader I just finished reading “Starling” book number one in the “Starling” series by Lesley Livingston. My uncle Timmy gave me a hardcover edition of the book. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I personally found the beginning of the book interesting especially the fencing element as well as the majority of the characters up until the first 50 pages (or so) after the Norse mythology was introduced in my personal opinion it didn’t work within the framework of the first half of the book.

Then the storyline took what felt to me to be a different turn then towards the end it went into the Norse mythology again. In my personal opinion this book seemed to take a few different tropes and mixing them together into one story which left me personally feeling like it wasn’t clear or cohesive. I personally rate this book a 2 and half out of 10 because the characters seemed somewhat unique. Happy reading dear reader 😊.  Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
