Book Review: Blood Communion: Anne Rice

Dear reader I just finished “Blood Comunion” book number #13 in the “Vampire Chronicles” series by Anne Rice. I picked up this book in hardcover edition from Barnes and Noble when I went to my local Barnes and Noble with my dad. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I want to start this review off by saying that I haven’t read all of the books in the “Vampire Chronicles” series(I have read this book as well as the one before this one) so I don’t know all of “Vampire Chronicles” lore. I say that to say that it might be the reason why I didn’t personally understand what was going on from about the beginning of the book to about the middle.

For that portion of the book(for my personally) it felt like(for lack of a better way of phrasing) I was reading/watching the characters as an outsider(like the lull in the middle of a book whenever characters milling around waiting for the next big event/plot point to happen).

After the middle part till the end I started to understand better what the point of this specific book(in my personal opinion) which was “Lestat” finally coming to terms with what he means to those around him and accepting the love, support, and respect of those around him and accepting that he is “king” of his group for better or worse and all of the hard choices that go along with it. For me personally because of “Lestat’s” character growth in the later half of the book I personally rate this book a 4 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
