Book Review: Song Of The Current: Sarah Tolcser

Dear reader I just finished reading “Song Of The Current” book number one in the “Song Of The Current” series by Sarah Tolcser. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I really was pulled into the story by the atmospheric world building, I really did feel as if I was personally on the boat(s) sailing with the characters. The characters had me caring for and about what was happening with them even when I would become confused and had to go back over a few pages(a few different times) to understand who was talking or how/when a character got into/out of a problem. I personally really liked how the Gods/mythology of world was done.

I personally feel that “Caro” is a very believable and relatable character; I love her love of her family and the people in her world. The love story element of the story stole my heart especially towards the last half of the book.

I think that if you like pirates and want to read a story about a strong realistic female main character who knows sailing and eventually gets to Captain her own ship i definitely recommend reading this book. PS. This story/world gave me “Pirates of the Caribbean” vibes 😊.

I will definitely be reading the next book in the series sooner than later. Overall I personally rate this book an 8 out of 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊.  Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
