Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Burning Glass” book number one in the “Burning Glass” series by Kathryn Purdie. My uncle Timmy gave me a hardcover edition of the book. My personal review of the book is as follows:
This book has one of (in my personal opinion) the most confusing and convenient(for plot purposes, the entire rest of the story is in my personal opinion is only made possible by the events that take place in the first approximately 60-80 pages) beginnings I personally personally ever read(to the point where I almost Didn’t Finish Reading it).
However I kept reading because I wanted to see how everything went and because I personally really found the main character to be compelling even though I personally was confused by both her choices and how certain plot mechanics around her powers worked/didn’t work(as they had at other times in the story) I’m glad that I kept reading because over all I enjoyed the story and I’m planning on reading the next book in the series to see what happens next to the main character.
I do want to say that if you don’t like love triangles you’re probably not going to enjoy this book. I personally normally dislike love triangles and I at different times within the story didn’t personally understand the main character’s choices I understood the love triangle aspect to a certain point because of how the main character’s “power/gift” works (trying to avoid spoilers). Also there is some physical abuse in the book in case you have any triggers for storylines that have that situation in it.
Overall I personally rate this book a 6 and out of 10 because of how much I liked the character. Happy reading dear reader 😊. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 📚.
