Dear Reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “All is Fair” by Dee Garretson. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting and it was on sale for $1.99. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I really enjoyed the “Downton Abby” vibes of the book and the strong female main character and her determination and dedication to “Doing her part” for the war effort(WW1) and her wanting to watch out for the people she loves as well as not wanting people to face trouble by themselves which really stands out to me personally given the time period of the storyline.

Suspension of disbelief is useful(in my personal opinion) from about the middle of the book onwards to make reading the book more enjoyable. I wish that we as readers could have gotten a bit more of an ending, in my personal opinion the ending felt rushed and as if the author stopped writing the last page after the first 2 sentences of the last page, I had to re-read the page as few times to be sure that it really was the end because it seemed as if the story was still continuing(as if you ended a scene with the characters in mid action).

Also as a side note whilst I was checking out the GoodReads page for the book(to post this review on my account there) I noticed that it seemed like they were saying that this book is a romance novel and whilst there is a romance in the book itself; it (in my personal opinion) isn’t the center of the storyline I’m letting you know that dear Reader just in case you find that info helpful; I personally did find the romance to be believable if a tad bit rushed at the end(like when the main character goes from liking a guy to ok I guess I’ll love you now for the “happy ending”).

Overall I personally rate this book a 5 out of 10. I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re a fan of Downton Abby. Happy reading dear Reader 😊.
