Book Review: Lipstick Voodoo: Kristi Cherish

Dear reader I just finished reading “Lipstick Voodoo” book number two in the “Kincaid Strange” series by Kristi Cherish. I picked up this book in soft-cover edition from Amazon.com(I paid for it myself) because I had to know what happens next with the characters. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I personally really enjoyed the(in my personal opinion) character growth for book “Kincaid” and “Nate” especially the growth and strengthening of the friendship between them; I do think that she was still hard on him at times.

I do personally feel like the ending of the case (mystery) that the story is primarily focused on was a bit rushed and tied up a bit too conveniently for my personal tastes. I am excited to see what happens with the next book, I hope that we as readers can see more of the city and expand the world of the series as a whole a bit more.

As a side note note from about the middle of the book onwards it really reminded me of “The Hollows” series by Kim Harrison; The situation between “Kincaid” and “Gideon” reminded me of the situation between “Rachel” and “Al” as well as the friendship between “Rachel” and “Jenks” (“Kincaid” & “Nate”) so if you’re a fan of the Hollows I definitely recommend checking out the first book in this series or the other way around if you’ve read this series and haven’t read the “Hollows” I recommend you check it out 😊.

Overall I personally rate this book a 7 and half out of 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊. Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.

Tell me what you think.
