Book Review: Touch of Gold: Annie Sullivan

Dear reader I couldn’t sleep so I finished reading “Touch of Gold” book number one in the “A Touch of Gold” series by Annie Sullivan. I picked up this book in the Nook store on my tablet because it seemed interesting, I personally 💜 retellings around Greek Mythology especially King Midas and it was on sale for $1.99. My personal review of the book is as follows:

I really enjoyed the strong characters, (the only characters that I personally felt were a bit flat were the “bad guys” and the father of the main character) the setting, and how the twist/ aftermath to what happens with the gold and King Midas(I don’t want to say more about it and give anything away) was handled.

The only thing that personally annoyed me was that(in my personal opinion) there seemed to be a lot of moments where the main character(and or people close to her) were in serious trouble(pretty much times when they were facing death/about to die) and some how someone would always show up to save them(even if they had to come “running” into the situation from half way across the scene so to speak) or the main character’s magical abilities would save them and I felt after the 2nd time it happened that I as the reader was rushed to the next scene like the author was saying “please don’t think about how that worked out.”

I feel like if you are a fan of Pirates and Greek mythology with some romance mixed up with everything you’ll probably enjoy this book. Overall I personally rate this book a 7 out of 10. Happy reading dear reader 😊.  Please like and share this review if you enjoyed it doing so helps me to get approved by publishers and authors for future books and helps others to find my reviews 💜.
